I tried this serum as part of a pre-launch consumer study. As a 61 yr old woman with fair skin, I have many age spots on my face and hands. This serum was remarkable in fading those spots in just 4 weeks and my skin looks smooth and healthy. My face and hands looked 20 years younger. I've had several women around my age ask what I was using so it really made a difference for them to notice. When I ran out of the serum I was worried the spots would darken but they did not. I'm so glad it's finally on the market for me to purchase and continue the process. I'll be one of the first to get in line to purchase this product.

I have rosacea. I know about redness and I've tried allllll of the Azelaic Acid serums. I've been searching high an low for an OTC serum to add to my PM routine that actually moves the needle on redness and post break out dark spots.
When Remedy emailed me to participate in a pre-launch consumer study for this serum I was so excited to see what Dr. Shah and his team came up with, but a bit skeptical because so many OTC serums have not worked out for me.
The ingredient deck has a great stack of ingredients that help target redness and hyperpigmentation: Azelaic Acid (with 10% pure Azelaic Acid), Licorice root, Niacinamide, Acetyl Glucosamine, Vitamin B12 and Beta Glucan. Dr. Shah doesn't play.
But, things can look good on paper and not actually work for my skin. This serum did not disappoint.
You must start slowly. I tried to start every night as I am an experienced Azelaic Acid user, but don't do what I did. I had to back off to every 3 days, then every 2 days. After two weeks, I could use it every night and wow. It complimented my prescription creams and other actives so nicely. More importantly, it moved the needle on my redness and rosacea flare ups.
I would be remiss if I didn't give praise to the formula. It is smooooth. Zero grit. Not sticky. It's thin and a dime sized amount covers my entire face - spreads easily. No pilling.
It's elegant. Bravo to the Remedy team.

I was lucky enough to be invited to try this product as part of a pre-launch consumer study. The results were fantastic.
First let me say that my skin leans a little towards sensitive these days. Nothing crazy, but adding any new products just tends to disrupt my baseline for a couple weeks. This product did not do that. No issues whatsoever adding it to my routine.
I don’t currently have acneic skin, so I didn’t get to see that benefit. However, I do tend to get red spots just from sensitivity. That where this product really made a difference for me. I quickly realized it was clearing up all those minor red spots. I was impressed!
At the end of the study, I initially stopped using the product as I wasn’t really looking to add an additional product. However, my skin started showing red spots again and I realized this is a product I do really want to keep using. I’m so glad it’s finally available for purchase as I’m almost out of my sample.

This serum is truly amazing. The texture is unlike any azelaic acid product I’ve tried before-it feels so smooth and unique on the skin. How do I use the 15% Azelaic Acid Complex?
After cleansing, apply a dime-size amount to dry skin and let it dry down before your next step. Start once a day and build to twice daily as your skin adjusts. Follow with moisturizer at night and sunscreen in the morning.
Is it gentle enough for sensitive or redness-prone skin?
It has no fragrance, propylene glycol or alcohol, and it was tested for sensitive skin. If your skin runs reactive, use it on its own for the first week before reintroducing other actives.
Can I use it with REMEDY for dark spots?
Yes, and they work well together. If your skin handles actives well, apply the azelaic serum first at night, let it dry, then follow with Dark Spots. If your skin is sensitive, alternate: azelaic in the morning, Dark Spots at night.
How do I fit it in with the rest of my set?
Morning: Azelaic Acid Complex, Copper Peptide Firming Serum and Eye Cream, then SPF. Night: Azelaic Acid Complex, REMEDY for dark spots and Eye Cream on the face, and the Firming Retinal Stick on the neck.
When will I see results?
Blemishes tend to respond first, around two weeks. Redness around four. Dark spots are slowest, four to eight weeks, and the most worth waiting for. Results build with continued use.
Is crystallization around the cap normal?
Yes. The formula is held as a stable salt at pH 5.9 in the bottle, which keeps the acid fully dissolved. A little crystallization at the neck or dropper is expected.
