Derm Dissolve Cleansing Balm can be used as the first step in a double cleanse routine or as a standalone cleanser for dry skin types needing gentle, barrier-supportive care.

  • How to use

    1. Twist the grinder clockwise to dispense cleansing balm. Use fingertips to massage in gentle, circular motions on dry skin.

    2. Add a splash of lukewarm water to emulsify the balm into a silky milk, then rinse thoroughly and pat skin dry.

    3. For a deeper cleanse, follow with Remedy for Cleansing Cream or Gel Cleanser as the second step.

  • How it works

    Our dermatologist-formulated balm uses a Triple Emulsifier System to melt, lift, and rinse away makeup and SPF without stripping. Ceramides and safflower lipids replenish the barrier, while Centella Asiatica and turmeric calm redness and restore radiance.

    Another new holy grail ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    I was lucky enough to be included in a pre-launch consumer study for this product and these are my honest thoughts.

    I was blown away!!!

    Not only did this balm dissolve all of my makeup and sunscreen, but it helped to soothe my rosacea and left my skin hydrated and glowing. (Look at my pictures- one week in you see my redness decrease and that glow is not from my skin being wet. My skin is just radiant!)

    Initially, I used the balm as step one in a double cleanse routine. So I applied this on dry skin, massaged it in to break up my makeup, then I wet my hands and added water to my face. This step turns the balm into a milky emulsion, and it rinses off completely- no oily residue left behind. I followed with Remedy Rich Cleanser, but after a few days, I found that I didn't need that second cleanse. My skin was already clean and comfortable, no film or oiliness left behind.

    The formula is bomb. Packed full of ingredients that work to dissolve makeup, sunscreen and oils, but also ingredients that soothe and nourish the skin.

    I also love the packaging - the grinding mechanism dispenses perfect thin ribbons of product. I'm excited to see the final version of the packaging. 😍

    This outperformed Dr. Althea and my favorite cleansing oils.

    I'm promptly buying 2 of these on release day. 😂 Highly recommend.

    Cleansing balm

    Loving everything about this product except the volume. The packaging is logical and tidy but 1.5 oz is such a diminutive size especially for such substantial packaging. I’ve used the Clinique cleansing balm for several years and appreciate they offer a 6.5oz version. I believe the Remedy skincare properties are likely superior considering the added ingredients. Remedy leaves my skin feeling great and removes makeup easily. Remedy’s price point is very good but the added packaging waste necessitated by more frequent ordering causes concern. Increase the amount of product per package and I’m a full convert.

    IT'S A WIN, WIN!!

    I was lucky enough to try the REMEDY pre-cleanse on a pre-launch consumer study. Prior to using the REMEDY Cleansing balm, I had used them all. From the very expensive with the high perfumed sent to the cleansing balm from that famous cosmetic company. I always had to wash my face with a cleanser to remove the remains of their balms. Remedy was very different. When splashed with water the balm melted into a milky wash that left no residue and no makeup whatsoever! It eliminated a follow up cleansing with a face wash. It's a win, win. I save money by not having to purchase 2 products to cleanse my face and I'm not washing away the benefits left from the REMEDY pre-cleansing balm.

    Great product, awful amount of product

    I really don't know how to rate this. It gets all 5 stars for the product itself but would get 0 stars for the price. It has resolved so much of my dry peeling skin that if it weren't for the amount, this would be my go to cleanser. However the container barely lasted 2 weeks of using it conservatively once a day. I don't often wear cosmetics so I don't need to use much at a time. I actually took the container apart and a large part of it is filled with the dispensing mechanism. There is only 1.5 oz in it which comes to $12.00/oz. I can buy a 13.52 oz bottle of LaRoche Posey Lipikar wash for $19.99 which comes to $1.48/oz and if I'm not mistaken this has been a reccommended product of Dr Shah. One of the reasons I've been Using Dr Shah's products is because he seems to be committed to transparency and affordable prices. This does not meet my definition of affordable.

    Love this balm!

    I have sensitive oily skin and have tried many different cleansing products on my face to try to find products that really work. When I was chosen to be part of a pre-launch consumer study of the pre-cleansing-derm dissolve cleansing balm, I was a bit skeptical. Balm on my oily skin? I am a convert. The texture is light and you can feel the difference after you rinse and then use your usual cleanser. Your skin is CLEAN but not stripped or tight. The balm dissolves the oil without making my skin feel oily. This is now part of my evening cleaning routine.
